BLS (Basic Life Support) is a crucial certification for healthcare professionals and those in the medical field. It equips you with the skills to provide immediate care in life-threatening situations. Bayside CPR offers AHA-certified BLS courses.

Being BLS certified signifies that you are approved by the American Heart Association to administer CPR during cardiac arrest and are prepared to use these skills in your career.

Your American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification from Bayside CPR is valid for two years.

    • RQI Self-Guided Station(Most Popular): Complete the online portion(included) and skills check off at our RQI station.

Our BLS classes cover CPR for all ages, AED use, and choking relief techniques.

The length varies depending on the option you choose:
The Basic Life Support Instructor-led Initial and Renewal classes are scheduled for about 3.5 hours. For the BLS Hybrid course (Fast Track or VAM(Voice Activated Self Guided Manikin), the online portion takes about 30min to 1.5 hours to complete and the in office skills check is about 20-40min.

Upon successful completion of any of our BLS courses, you will receive an official AHA BLS Provider eCard. No matter which option you choose, you’ll receive the exact same AHA BLS Provider eCard, valid for two years.

AHA requires having access to the BLS Provider Manual. Books are available for purchase at our conveniently located training centers. We also provide a helpful study guide located on our resources tab on this website.
